So today I realized that I have an lg screen on my Macbook Retina and it has pretty bad image retention  . Of course I am out of the one year warranty period. Has anyone had any luck getting Apple to replace things without having warranty? I don't know if I need to scream or cry but at this point I am willing to try anything.

Ring them tell them the problem be nice and cross your fingers. I had a screen replaced on a late 09 21" iMac that was 18 months out of warranty, never had Apple Care either. Was $550 AUD worth.
