I had read something sometime ago about come high powered laptops, like the MBP running flat on power even when plugged in because of the 'weak' power cable. The 15" MBP power cable is 80W according to apple website, and i just tested to see how much power my laptop uses:

Essentially, with the graphics card not at full power, its using 74W as seen on the electricity reader. Wondering if with everything at max if it could eventually lead the laptop to switch off?
NB to get this high amount of wattage, CPU was at 100% with Folding @home and running the game, and the graphics was maxed on the game although didn't push it to the limit, brightness & sound 100%
