Help!

My Macbook Pro isn't running as fast as it should. This little round coloured ball keeps on appearing every time I'm running most of my apps.

Do I have to do a disk defrag (Windows speak) or what???

You could maybe solve this issue by getting more RAM, but the less we know, the less we can tell...

What model, how much RAM, what CPU, how much HDD space have you got?

Have you looked at the Activity Monitor (All Processes, sort by CPU and sort by Physical Memory)?

How many and what applications are open during the beach-ball incidents (the coloured ball)?

Yea we need some more info here. Without knowing much, I would try repairing disk permissions using disk utility, but if you give more info we may be able to help you more.
