Hi all,
This is my first post here.

I have a macbook 5.1 13" (unibody), and it is running so slowly that I can barely have multiple windows on my browser opened without making it freeze for sometimes over a minute. sometimes i'd have to re-start the page completely. I don't really use multiple programs simultaneously much anymore. In fact, I find myself just using my iPad most of the time, because it's such a pain to use my laptop!

I have switched from Chrome to Safari, and the speed has improved. However, it is still comparable to dial-up in the old days!

I have tried to read up on this on the net. I wanted to see if I need a new hard drive and/or new RAM. Being not very literate about computer things, I have trouble comprehending what I'm supposed to do. Is there someone who can guide me through this? I have a friend who's supposed to be very good about computer stuff, but he had gotten me wrong advice twice already. :) So I thought I'd turn to you guys. One thing that I did understand how to do and did was to "repaired disk permissions." And that did help some.

I can provide any information about data and usage and all those mysterious numbers if someone can tell me where to find them! :)

I really hope that somebody can help me... thanks in advance!!
