looking at HD to get for my new MB its only got 80Gb at the moment.

Been looking at the Samsung SpinPoint M5 250GB 5400RPM SATA 2,5" HM250JI. I see that the spec states that its 9.4mm high.
Like samsung since there covered by a 3 year warranty.

Would this height be a problem? cause vibration noise?

9.5 mm is the size of drive accepted by the MacBook, so you should be fine. There are thicker drives (12.5 mm) that will not fit, so watch out for those.
