Macbook says plugged to a power adapter but it's unplugged

Hello folks,

my macbook pro 13 (2017) has the battery icon greyed, says it's connected to a power adapter but it's actually unplugged.

I did reset the SMC, tried to hide and show again the battery icon, multiple restarts, but nothing seems to work so far.

Any tip?

Sounds like the Mac's MagSafe component might be bad.

To test if the battery is the culprit, unplug the battery and then connect only the power adapter.

If the greyed out icon still shows it's a magsafe to logic board problem.

Update ver. 10.15.4 (19E287) fixed the problem!
