Hello All,

a time ago, i dropped my macbook. The screen was not responding any more but the backlight was still working. Now, i have opened up my macbook, because my insurance company gave me a new one. There is nothing i can see that is changed. So what is the problem here?

I am not waiting to bring it to the store with a respond: It will cost you a 1000 dollar.

Thanks for your help!

Well, the point is. I Have two macbooks. One, was dropped, and the screen doesn't respond anymore. So, the insurance company gave me a New one, and i can still have the old one. So, now i want to fix the old one, because I then can give it to my daughter.

So the problem is: Backlight of the LCD is working, but there is no image.

Try plugging it into an external display...?

Well the graphics card still works, with an external screen.
What could it be then? Because the cable is still intact.

Update!

UPDATE!

Well I examined my macbook, and i came to a conclusion, that the screen is apparently malfunctioning. Because, the screen gives image, but not the correct image. Here is a picture:

The screen is not broken! It's just the image, but then blurred out from top.
