Macbook Screen Display Brightness Problem

When i use my macbook and move the lid too suddenly, the screen turns black and i would have to turn the display brightness all the way down and then back up to fix it. When the screen turns black, i could still see the a little bit of the desktop but i just cant change the brightness of the display unless i turn the brightness all the way down. Can anyone help me? Thanks in Advance.

by the way I found that i can temporarily fix the problem by repair the permissions... but it's very temporarily...
