Macbook screen error, white parts showing yellow

i have had this macbook pro now for about 3-4 months and last week it started showing weird yellow/white stripes on places where it should be completely white

it comes and goes from time to time and it seems to be effected by the hardware itself, since when i move my screen it comes and goes.
but.. when i make a screenshot of an opened window, like iCal, with lots of white space, it does not show the yellow-like stripes.

i tried adjusting the contrast at universal access but it didnt work

anyone knows what i can do?

it seems like lcd is bad.. is it still under waranty? call applecare if you still have it. or take it to an apple service center.
