Hey,

I have a problem, my brother has a Base MacBook (Early version), it is out of Warranty, he took it to Apple while it was in warranty, they said they replaced the Logic Board.

He phoned back when the problem was re-occurring, recently was told no hardware was repaired just software update.
Apple store had no record or repair.

He does not have a original receipt.
What should he do?

Is there a fix for Flickering Screen (between bright and dim)
Happens especially when screen dims to save power, this is the main reason the MacBook needed repairing.

Thanks guys

Bad inverter. If you believe there was a logic board repair done, but the Apple store has no record, just call the 1 800 number and ask Customer Support. It's all documented.

Goodluck

Thanks.

He did call customer support in the UK, and there was no record of a repair, only a software update.

Do you think he has a case that will allow him to change his macbook because of a fault they said they repaired but didnt?

Thanks
