i picked up a macbook january of this year and the screen sometimes flickers when it's not connected to a power source. in other words, the screen gets brighter because it thinks it's charging, then it goes back to the "better battery life" setting.

anyone else experience this? should i take in to an apple store? what would they do?

take it to the aplpe store NOW... as its still under warranty.
It sounds like a dodgy inverter board which they should replace for free but wont after the warranty is up..

I had to replace mine myself. Ok it only cost me £15 to do so with a part of eBay but i had to take the hole laptop apart
