I have a Late 2007 Black Macbook Model and it is out of warranty.
When I move the lid away from the keyboard the monitor loses light, when I'm in the sun, I can still see what's on the screen faintly but if I'm not in the sun it just looks pitch black...When I move the lid closer to the keyboard, it goes back to full brightness. I didn't have the computer on for 2 days and then when I turned it back on, for about a day it was working fine, but now its back to its same old self as it's been for about a week...
Is this a loose connection, failed inverter, failed backlight tube? How much do you think it would cost for a repair from Apple or is it easy to DIY?
