I purchased a Macbook in late summer of 2010. So my warranty ran out about 6 months ago. My question is if I take this to the Apple store will they fix it for free or what the repair cost be apx.? I know I've brought back other Apple products and they've fixed them for free after warranty so I'm hoping this would the case with my MacBook as well.

The problem I've researched already it's the screen is fading to white when the screen is at certain angles and it's geting worse every day.

They might repair it for free out of warranty, but they aren't obligated to.

No one here can really tell you what your chances might be since it all depends on who you talk to, where you take it, and how big a fuss you make.

Keep in mind that the sooner you take it in the better.

Best of luck.

Most likely the lcd cable is damaged (mine had the same issue, but my fault I've dropped it). If you have an aluminium unibody macbook it's a pain in the ass to replace it. If it's the display module they will ask you $$$ or maybe you'll get lucky.
