I used to use my macbooks DVI output to play dvds through my projector. When it was connected to the projector, the screen on the macbook displayed the image as the wrong size (the bottom was cut off and the windows were much larger than normal). This I assumed was normal since as soon as I disconnected the DVI cable, it went back to normal.
Until now...
When I boot uo my macbook the screen looks as though its connected to the DVI cable. It can be fixed just by closing the lid and opening it again. But then the next time it boots up it happens again.

If anyone has had any experience with this or has an idea how to fix it I would greatly appreciate it.

thanks :apple:

I would go to your System Preferences and then the Displays tab. There should be a button called Detect Displays. Give that a try.

Hey I think that might have worked. Thank you.:)

update, YES it has worked fine. I really appreciate it.
