I have a MacBook with a damaged screen. The laptop is a base mid 2009 model, and I'm wondering what would be the best option for getting the screen replaced? I know that some places offer to replace screens, but I'd rather do the repair myself to save money. My main concern is purchasing the proper LCD for an affordable price, and something that would fit properly. I've seen many sub-$100 screens on EBay, but they don't really mention much about which year models they're made for. I also remember reading a few "horror stories" a few years back on a Dell forum where people would buy replacement LCD's, only to have some hinge or attachment part missing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
