So a wire got pinched in my macbook that goes to my screen. It is black and on the left side under the bezel cover. And ever since it got pinched and cut a little bit my screen has a purple tint to it. So I take it that its like a video cable or something. I sent it to a couple of people who want around $700 dollars to fix it because they say I need another screen totally. So I was wandering if anyone knew what this cable is and where I can get one. Thanks

Unfortunately, they're right. The display cable and the display itself are integrated into one unit. You can't just replace the cable. However, it shouldn't cost $700 to fix. $400 sounds more reasonable to me.
