I didnt notice this at first but then again ive only started seeing it and it might just be my imagination but does the screen always take a few seconds to get to full brightness after its turned off?

thanks

sorry. older white plastic macbook

The older plastic MacBooks or the new LED Aluminium ones?

Cold cathode fluorescent lamps take a fraction of a second to warm up. I believe that they're even slower when it's cold.

On my old white Macbook, the screen often flickered slightly (like if someone was going wild with the brightness controls) for som time (maybe up to a minute sometimes) after waking it up from sleep. Had it in for a check/repair, but they couldn't find anything to fix...
