Whenever I try and load a thread on some car forums with a ton of pictures my macbook cant handle it and it shuts the internet down at my house. We then have to reset the internet. My desktop (PC) can handle it fine.

What is going on here? Is there something I need to change in the settings or what? This doesnt happen happen at school just at home. Is there something that the home router cant handle for a mac or what?

PLEASE HELP THIS IS VERY ANNOYING!

More information is needed.

What kind of router, what connection do you use (LAN or WLAN), maybe the link to the problematic site,...?

Have you set up a specific Location for your home use under System Preferences > Network and have set the IP address manually?
