So I downloaded a virus on my Mac stupidly, and I thought I completely got rid of it. My computer continued to go slow and skip every now and then, sometimes it's behave so I just rebooted it to its original factory settings. Like before it was behaving and then it'd start going slowly again and start skipping. I only have one download on it and it's world of Warcraft so I don't think it could be a cluttered hard drive. Please help so I can fix my Mac.

Try creating a new user account, reboot and login to the new user account. Does the issue happen in the new user account?

Also, to help diagnose the issue will need more information:
  1. What type of Mac computer and year of computer?
  2. What version of OS X are you running?
  3. You said you got rid of what you believe was a virus, what program did you use?
  4. Please clarify what you mean by "go slow and skip every now and then"?
  5. Please clarify what you mean by "I just rebooted it to its original factory settings"?
