Hi everyone. Just bought my gf a Macbook (base configuration). Last night we listened to some songs through my airport express connected to some speakers while we were having dinner. The Macbook was running off battery.

After about 30 mins, i turned round to see that the Macbook's sleep light was on, and the machine truly was asleep, despite an uninterrupted stream of music. It proceeded to play endless tracks while it was asleep, and when i woke it from sleep, it just continued with no interruption.

Is this normal? How on earth can it stream if it's asleep?

once the screen goes totally off... the sleep light will come on, but not blink.

my iBook could stream music via airtunes for about 7 hours.
