MacBook sleeping problems

My MacBook (air m1 and i5 pro) is connected to a Samsung monitor via USB C. When the MB goes to sleep automatically (after a certain time of inactivity), both the MB and the monitor goes to sleep and stay asleep, however when I put MB to sleep manually (apple icon and sleep), the monitor and MB wake up every 30 seconds or so. Also, if MB goes to sleep automatically, the screen dims and then both the monitor and MB go to sleep at the same time, but when I put MB to sleep manually the MB goes to sleep first, and then the monitor goes to sleep 1 or 2 seconds later.

Does anyone know what the problem is?
