Finding deletion of network 'yyy' by the book has failed. (Preferences/choose Network, "-" not all that effective. Disappear from boxed choices, however, remain in Airport drop down menu. Also did Keychain Delete 'remedy' to no avail. Delete, remain on drop down. Went into systems apps, Delete, no result. Numerous procedural restarts incl Utility 'disc repair', also Airport Util etc.

Always on dropdown. Hunt everywhere, can't find anymore Airport and/or 'yyy' reference. Security, Sys app contents, Keychain, Network, Sharing.

Anyone 'been there, done that?'

I'm down to reinstall SLeopard--cross fingers. (And 'yyy' just one, there are others...)

Can I just delete Airport and reinstall? Drag to trash, reinstall somehow?

It is a bit hard to understand what you are trying to do.........

You are trying to delete YYY network but it keeps reappearing in the Airport drop-down menu in the menu bar ?

Sounds as if it is still transmitting ?
