Okay so I got my Black MacBook in early 2007 absolutely loved it and its fine back then but lately, my sound has been acting up on both speakers and using headphones, you know when you turn up something way too loud and it distorts? I get that even when its only on a very low setting, I do use it alot but I really don't think that has anything to do with it. Can anyone help me with that?

Also, the rim around the MacBooks been 'chipping' it hasn't been dropped at all and its very well taken care of, I'm suspecting the ridges on the top of the screen or something?

Greatly appreciated if you could help :)

try

I suggest calling Apple. They tend to take care of people with random problems quite well. If you have Apple care you should be ok... if not, try your best to emphasize that you have absolutely no idea how any of it happened, and they may just send a box out to you, fix it, and charge you nothing. It's worth a shot... if that doesn't work, either pay for it or try fixing it yourself.

Good luck!
