The sound doesn't work! I turned on my laptop and there is no sound. When I press the up and down volume buttons, it's normal, but there is no noise. Also, there ISN'T a red light in my headphone jack. PLEASE HELP! :(

Go to the preference panel and look at the sound settings. What does your sound settings show under output? Make sure it's set to internal speakers.

If still not working, plug in some head phones and see if you get any sound through the head set. Your internal speakers could be blown, but, I would have a hard time believing that both speakers are out.
