Okay I have this really annoying problem on my white macbook I bought about April time.

I noticed it about a month ago, and its that when I plug headphones or external speakers into the laptop, it only comes out of one channel. The other seems fuzzy. I have tried a variety of speakers and headphones, all of which worked when I got the macbook.

Are there any solutions to this? Is it just something with the settings (I have looked through System Preferences, but couldn't see anything), or is it something more serious. If so, will Apple replace it if I pop in for an appointment with a Genius?

Also, I know this sounds like I'm a bit of a weirdo but I have noticed that that little lip on the laptop, near the keyboard is not in line with the other side.

Thanks for your help

The mic on my mbp stopped working someday. Then I took it to genius bar where I got it fixed. Some problem, like the one with mine, is not easy to be fixed by yourself.
