My friend has just me a picture of a mac someone is offering for £150 and asked me if it was any good. Unfortunately I really don't know enough to advise him properly.
What do you guys think for £150

This is an mid-2007 model. Not a bad system depending on what you intend to use it for (I have a late 2006 system and it's a great system for most things). It appears to basically be a stock configuration.

As to the value since you're outside the US I can't speak to non-US pricing. In the states £150 is equivalent to about $230 which would not be a spectacular price but not a bad one either. If it's in good condition IMO it's something to consider. Though keep in mind this particular model is unable to run OS X versions past Lion.

It should be closer to $150-$175 to be considered a good deal. 2007 systems are crippled by their low end integrated graphics so if one wants to play games it is not the appropriate system. That being said, they handle office tasks, web browsing, movies, etc. extremely well!
