i bought a macbook last week

2.2ghz 1GB ram 120GB

it didnt feel that quick bootup was around 50 seconds (is this slow for 1 week old mac)
i thought it might be the ram so ive upgraded to 2x2GB! from crucial it still bootups up at 50 seconds roughly also apps dont open that quickly either?

happens if i have it on better performance aswell as normal

ive only installed MS Messager adiumx installed CS3 last night but was happening before i installed cs3.

any ideas? or do i need to do maintaince on this.

could be leopard bugs?

Have you ever repaired permissions on your hard drive? You might try that. Open up Disk Utility and run a Repair Permissions on your "Macintosh HD". You can find Disk Utility in your Utilities folder in your Applications folder.
