Hi,

Iv just started up my macbook, and it went to the hardware test screen, i clicked extended test.

However is this just a routine thing, that it makes you do every now and again? Or is it doing this as something is wrong?

Thanks in advance :)

No, what you are experiencing is not at all normal... A Mac should never boot into the Hardware Test on its own. There are only two situations when this is likely to occur:

1. You pressed a key at startup that told the Mac to boot into Hardware Test
2. The Mac's firmware couldn't find any other bootable volumes
