My young daughter spit up on my trackpad and it went crazy! For about 4 days the pointer was all over the place acting very erratic and I was unable to control what was happening. I called a few repair places as well as apple and I was told that I needed to replace the sensor under my trackpad... Now it's been a couple days since then and everything seems to have gone back to normal? My laptop has had no other issues so I'm assuming it has nothing to do with the battery (my computer is only 2 1/2 years old and I haven't had any issues). So I'm wondering; do I still get the trackpad fixed and why has it gone back to normal? Has the spit up just dried and before it was wet????

Sometimes you're lucky and it works perfect for the rest of its life, sometimes you're not and it prematurely dies. Good luck!
