Macbook temperatures vs fan speed

hmm...do these numbers seem "normal" to you guys?

Idle with Adium+iTunes+Mail: 48-50c

Safari+Adium+iTunes+Mail: 50-56c

Streaming a video(youtube, dailymotion, etc)+Adium+iTunes+Mail: 59-70

Using SMCFANCONTROL, my fan is currently running at approx 2500rpm.


EDIT: initial question was...why my smcfancontrol tweaked fan speed kept dropping back to the default speed. thanks heatmiser for the quick response.

Try rebooting, or logging out and in.

I wish you hadn't edited your post, completely changing it from your previous question (the one about your non-responsive smcfancontrol that stopped working a few hours ago), rendering my inital post nonsensical.

That said, I'm @ 47C with 3032rpm.
