Today I got my mini-DVI to HDMI from www.macsales.com. I tried to hook up my 13" MacBook to my 26" Sony Bravia TV just to test if it works. My Macbook recognized the TV (Display preferences --> detect displays: "Sony TV") but my tv only gave a black screen. HDMI cable and port are fine, Apple TV works perfect. Any suggestions?

Audio

Does anyone who has a Sony Bravia know if there is a way to use a HDMI port for the video and a mini jack for the audio, as my MacBook won't send audio via HDMI.

Hi JW,

Your Macbook does not support audio through HMDI, only the newer 2010 Macbook's (4GB of RAM) and the new Macbook Pro's support audio, you'll need to use an ordinary audio cable or mini TOSLINK cable.

Maurits from The Netherlands as well ;)
