Hi

I've only had my macbook for 2 months (been using PCs forever) and decided to hook it upto my Samsung LCD HD ready TV using an HDMI cable that plugs into the mini displayport (i got this at the apple store).

All is well, i figured out how to mirror the display etc... but (on the TV) it keeps repeatedly flickering and the screen goes blank. I've been trying everything to stop this but I kinda feel like I don't know what I'm doing!

Anyone had this before and know how to resolve it?

Any help would be great.

I have my iMac connected to my HDTV through the same setup as you. The mirrored setting is correct. I haven't experienced the issues you are seeing, but you can try a few things. I'm also assuming you switched your TV to the correct input option, in this case HDMI.

Test to see if the HDMI cable (by itself) works on another TV.
Try a different HDMI port on the TV.
Disconnect and reconnect all cables at all connection points.
