I have a Macbook (bought in 2007) running OS 10.6.7 and connected to an LG 37LC41 by HDMI.

It was working perfectly for a few months until I played with the screen settings... Since then, having tried all setting options on both the TV and the computer, the best picture I managed to get is with very high contrast colours and it will not even use the full screen.

I have tried factory reset of the TV, System restore, etc. and nothing seems to work.

Please help!

Are you using the tv as a second screen or a duplicate screen? Set the resolution to what is native for the tv and just try default colors. Make sure you are doing this on the preferences that are displayed on the tv not the macbook screen.
