I have a 2006 macbook and wanting to connect to my tv via vga or hdmi
what is the cable called etc and i have a 32 pin conection

Is this the cable i'm looking for

The PowerBook has a Mini DVI connection, thus you might be able to go via a Mini DVI to DVI adapter and connect a DVI to HDMI adapter or cable to it.

Mini DVI is a digital common interface on the later G4 12" PowerBook, on Intel iMacs till 2009 and on the white and black pre-Unibody MacBooks and on Intel Mac minis before they changed the design to Unibody.
