Hi,
I own a 2 1/2 years old white MacBook and a Toshiba Regza XV505D TV. To connect the two I bought the Mini-DVI to DVI adapter from Apple and a DVI to HDMI cable.
When I connect everything, the computer even knows it is connected to a Toshiba-TV but the TV screen stays blue (which is the normal color, when there's no signal). I tried every resolution- or refresh rate-settings, and all the HDMI ports, I can't get it to work. The Instructions for the TV say you can connect a computer either by VGA or by HDMI. I had once borrowed a VGA cable and that worked just fine. Just plug it in, no further settings and the screen would appear on the TV. Why does it not work with the HDMI-cable?????:confused::confused::confused::confused:
Thanks very much in advance...
