Hey there, I've just received and got my MBP 13" started. I ordered the MiniDisplay to HDMI which works perfectly, and can output sound through the TV.

However, I have a home cinema system and was wondering how it'd be possible to output sound onto that. Currently when watching TV, I have my Samsung LED set to output sound through external speakers, then my Panasonic Speakers do the job.

Is there anyway to output the sound through the external speakers without buying any extra leads? I fear that I may need a lead direct to the speakers.

If you need any more information, just ask. Thanks, Sam.

I'ld like to know this to, or at least why it won't work I assume due to the audio format? like with Xbox360.
My home setup is 2011 15" MBP, Sony TV KDL40-EX600 & Sony HC BDV-E370.
As the TV and home cinema are both from the same brand there aren't/shouldn't be any compatibility issues.

so situation=
Video/Audio from MBP to TV; No problems
Audio from MBP threw TV to HC; doesn't work
