MacBook Touch Rumor Now on Drudge Report

I just saw that the MacBook Touch rumor is linked on The Drudge Report right now... which points to to ABC News.

I know Apple mentioned new products in the earning meeting and that people have been talking a tablet Mac for a long time, but I have doubts it will happen. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see this released, but I have a feeling that people are setting themselves up for disappointment. Nonetheless, it is interesting that the mainstream media is reporting on this.

Any thoughts?

I don't think a macbook touch is anywhere near actually being made. I mean, for me the iphone/ipod touch features barely transcended from gimmick to actually useful. Don't get me wrong, they did cross that threshold, but I just don't think they can offer a viable touch replacement for a laptop. Yet.
