Looking for the best external monitor option. I know there are 4k USB monitors like LG 27UD88 or even apple's LG 4k Ultrafine 21.5 but has anyone tried an UHD Ultrawide monitor? I imagine the regular ones would work since their about 3440X1440 resolution but thoughts on the Dell U3818?

Resolution is 3840 X 1600 @60hz and apparently the MacBook supports "4096-by-2304 resolution at 60Hz on an external display".... So do you think it would be able to push the 38" UHD Ultrawide? Looking for a solution as I had a dual 4k Ultrafine as my work station before with my 15" and using 1 4K ultra fine is alright, just seeing if I can get more work space.

Thoughts?

Answered my own question... picked up the LG 38ud99 and it seems fine. Haven’t pushed it yet but having this much screen real estate from the 12” is awesome!
