Macbook unibody harddrive upgrade

Hey all...

I have the 250gb harddrive in my unibody Macbook at the moment.

Any idea how much it will cost to replace it with a 500gb in an apple store without voiding my apple care?

cant find any costs on the search but alot of threads state to do a DIY job but im unsure on how to keep my data this way.

Go to http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Repair/MacBook-Unibody-Hard-Drive-Replacement/816/1 on how to replace it yourself. In terms of keeping your information I suggest getting a usb or firewire case for your old hard drive so it becomes an external.
