I have a MacBook unibody 2009 model A1278, Intel core 2 duo, 2gb ddr3, 150gb hd, running leopard. I haven't had a problem with it until now, and I have no clue how/why this is happening. It was working fine, went to start it up, and I can only boot into single user or verbose mode. I've tried putting the disk in that came with it, but all I get is the apple logo and the spinning wheel until it restarts itself and does the same. and it will keep doing this over and over if I allow it. I get these same results when I try booting into safe mode, target disk mode, and open firmware. When I boot holding the d key, it takes me to apple hardware test but returns no errors. When I hold down opt during boot, it will show the HD and the install disk, but when I select either one, nothing happens. It just sits there. When I attempt to boot from network server, it never finds one. I'm at a loss. I have a MacBook pro i5 but can't put the MacBook into target disk mode and it wont see my MacBook pro if I put that into target disk mode. Can anybody help me?
