Hello,

recently I notice my macbook alum unibody was getting pretty hot when I have it on my lap. So I took it apart following some guides i found online and reapplied the thermal paste on the CPU and GPU. I notice a huge drop in temperature and the computer is running significantly cooler.
However, after putting the computer back together, the trackpad is not tracking anymore. It does click (like a left click) but other than that the cursor does not move. I have reset the SMC and the PRAM to no avail. any recommendations as to how to fix this would be appreciated.
BTW, this computer is out of warranty. i purchased it in 2008. it is an aluminum macbook unibody 2.0 ghz.
