My Macbook Unibody is not even a year old and the trackpad is acting up. The tracking works , but the button works only sometimes. Sometimes it will take one click to register sometimes it takes like ten clicks.

* it seems to be working fine now *

There are still issues with the Glass Trackpads. I have a similar issue and so do many others.
It is only a matter of time until Apple releases a new Trackpad firmware.
Until then, use it or use an external mouse.

I haven't had any apparent issues with the trackpad, although occasionally I'm pretty sure I tapped firmly enough for it to register, yet it doesn't, so I have to tap a second time. I would be inclined to blame that on myself since I haven't had any other problems, so it's unlikely my trackpad is defective.

Same Problem

I have just come across the same annoying problem, though it was working normally for 2 months before. And I swear there was nothing harmed on my new baby...
It takes thousands of clicks to recognize, but there is some tiny spot on the trackpad, whence you know you should go ; ) and it works somehow there all the time.
