Hm... they did drop the price, included backlit keyboard, speed bump increase, firewire, sd card slot, and an extra 40gb of HD space.... but now... Apple Care cost $100.00 more without educational discount.

I guess would be worth it... but I still love my MacBook Unibody... collectors edition hehe

Hopefully when this one dies, I will be able to afford to get the new models... hoping that this MacBook will last me for years.

Speaking of applecare... I havent gotten it on mine. Should I get it and how long do I have from the date of purchase to get it?

I've had it for about two months now.

Edit: Nevermind... I guess the MacBook Pro 13 inch is covered under the same warranty as the 13 inch Macbooks :)

you've got one year to purchase apple care. best buy tried telling me that i had 3 weeks to purchase apple care. loser. besides that. i'm kinda sad, not really, but kinda since i'd like the backlit and at a cheaper price and the other obvious factors.
i bought my umb in december. for 1299
it's now 950 refurb. whatever. a few hundred won't matter when i'm dead lol
