Macbook USB ports don't work, any help?

Both the USB hubs in my Macbook dont seem to be picking anything up (iphone, usb memory cards, printers, etc..nothing).
Anyone know if there are any tricks I can try to get them working, before I need to go into a Mac store for repairs?

Just try a simple ordinary restart. Sometimes OSX can shut down USB ports if a device tries to draw too much power. In your case it might just be fixed by a simple restart. Give it a go

wow, I can't believe you didn't already do this. That's the first thing you should do if something is acting weird.

I'm having the same problem. Restarting only solves the problem for a short time. Usually a day. I'm out of warranty. Am I just screwed or are there other tricks I can do to really fix this?
