how many mega bytes is the basic intel video card? age of empires 3 needs at least 64 mb

Note the real answer is 0Mb: it's an integrated graphics controller (not a card) that uses shared memory. It has no memory of it's own, rather uses system RAM as it's frame and texture buffer.

by itself, it has NO memory, but that;s how integrated graphics run - i have a 64 MB integrated graphics card and it works just fine w/ age of empires - in the mac they have the 144MB card if you run in OSX, If you Run in windows, Vista will boost that to 358MB (which is why windows will run games much better than OSX) - but OSX is MUCH better for a LOT of other stuff that windows can NOT do. so use bootcamp and install windows if you want to play age of empires.

cool thanks age of empires is really the only game that i play the second and third although i dont have the third ive played it before
