Hey Everybody!
I'm hoping someone can help... I bought a DYNEX mini-DVI to Video adapter to play video from my blackbook to my tv. I have an older tube tv. After trying it and not being able to get it to work, I researched it on the web, and sure enough, almost no one seems to be able to get this to work. Only the Apple branded adapter works. Well, had I known this last night, I would have bought the apple adapter, but I am snowed in for probably the next two days.
Apparently, the problem is that this adapter is passing progressive video, and it needs to be interlaced to work on the TV. There seems to be no way to switch the output to interlaced... I've even tried SwitchResX. I'm apparently not smart enough to get it to work. The best I can get is a wavy, black and white double image of whats on the screen.
Does anyone know ANY possible solution/hack to get this to work? Or a way to force interlacing on the video output?
