Hi, my macbook just died on me and I'm going to use this as an excuse to get a new one, and sell the old one. I'm currently thinking about getting the high end macbook or the high end macbook pro.

I would use it for video converting(HDTV rips), watching HD-Movies, Firefox, iTunes, Matlab, light photoshop (but negligible). I would also use it in Bootcamp for CAD programs such as Solidworks and AutoCAD.

I would never play anysort of games, windows or mac. I would get 4GB of ram and the same HD in both, but my question is this, is the 9400 video card on the macbook good enough to run MultiSim[CAD], solidworks[CAD] and autoCAD in bootcamp well? I would also like to get a Blu-ray drive and rip BD movies in Bootcamp, is that possible?

I'm a student and would be using the developer discount, I would like to spend the least amount of money, provided it works well for the programs I need it for.

If the macbook wont suffice, I would have to get the Macbook Pro. I need those CAD programs, and would like too but not necessarily rip BD movies, and I don't care about playing them just ripping them.

I don't need the CAD programs to be as fast as possible(obviously it would be faster on the Macbook Pro), just to run well enough to be useable.
