Macbook white (2,1) core2dou or buy a new

Hi,

i own a macbook 2,1 , the one with core2dou 2.0 Ghz , 2Gb ram , and 320Gb 7200RPM hdd (my own upgrade), and the battery is with the replace soon condition.

i am thinking maybe to replace this machine with a new 13" macbook pro (hopefully a new one will come soon) , or maybe just upgrade it. what would you think? would it make a difference ? this is a 5.5 years old machine but still live and kicking !

would a 2x2Gb ram (will only be 3.3 i know) + 120Gb SSD drive will boost this machine?

i need it mostly for browsing, iphoto, itunes and virtual box for win7 with ms office (no hebrew support on native office for mac)

More RAM and an SSD will be an improvement if you do not want to spend more money for a new machine.

Btw, the 13" MacBook Pro has been updated in June, any new update will probably be in 2013, when Intel releases new chips, unless you are alluding to the mythical 13" MacBook Pro with Retina Display, which MIGHT get a release this year.
