Macbook white 2010 guts into Macbook white 2009 case?

As the title says, how different or similar are those two models of Macbook?

I could get a cheap and working, albeit pretty hammered Macbook Unibody White 2010, so I'm thinking if it would be possible to transplant its internals (logic board et al.) into a Macbook Unibody White 2009.

The mean reason for this is that the 2010 supports 16GB of RAM, as opposed to just 8GB on the 2009 model.

Any advice?

From what I've seen on iFixit, it seems like you indeed can make that replacement.

However, from the logic board replacement guide on iFixit, it seems that there are some minor differences with the speaker connectors (see the comments on Step 16).

Thanks, that's encouraging.
I'm worried about re-plugging the connectors though. I mean, it looks like some people are asking about how to reconnect them.

Replugging isn't so difficult, as long as you have something like a spudger or even the butt end of a chopstick to help you. Patience is key as well.
