Hi guys,
I've owned my macbook 4,1 for over a year. Before upgrading to 10.6,
I have had no problems connecting my Logitech Premium notebook headset via the line-in jack.
now im on 10.6, i realised my line-in jack wont pick up the mic anymore, so i brought it to a service provider in HK and lodged a repair.
The tech said Macbook only supports digital mics and should not pick up any analog signals
(which i believe is totally a piece of shxt as i have been able to use the mic via line-in jack for a year)
they claimed they had talked to Apple, but all theyre saying is referring to the Apple docs, and this is what they're using to decline my request of logicboard replacement (because the mic works perfectly with the USB connecter came with the headset).
So anyone got clues regarding the situation?
i wouldnt mind a firmware hack to get the jack working by any means necessary. i just want that jack to work like how it SHOULD and HAS been.
